A note from Sonya:
I want to tell you my Why. Why do I do this? In my teenage years I was on the receiving end of health and rehab services for a debilitating back injury. I was by all accounts the epitomy of health and very active in sports however, I was suffering from horrible back pain. I went to numerous health and rehab providers who spent short periods of time giving me a quick diagnosis and a laundry list of things to do and basically telling me “if it hurts, stop doing it”. I felt unheard, powerless to change the outcome. I felt I would hurt for the rest of my life. It was a hard pill to swallow. My goal is to always be a student of the human body and movement health in order to provide the most comprehensive care I can to any patient/client that sits in front of me. I want to make sure they feel heard, understood and empowered to overcome what lies before them. That’s my why.
